Technology in the painting industry, especially in the water storagetank industry, has been changing on an almost daily basis. There is no longer a standard specification that covers all conditions and storage tanks. This paper addresses the issue of designing coating system for water storage tanks. The paper discusses what to look for in evaluating a coating system and what a coating system should accomplish. Both interior and exterior coating systems are addressed.
