Full Description

This paper discusses how the Information Collection Rule (ICR) was designed to provide data to be used in the development of Stage 2 of the Disinfectants/Disinfection Byproducts Rule for the regulation of microbial contaminants and disinfection byproducts. The ICR included monitoring for Cryptosporidium using procedures defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and an analytical method referred to as the ICR method. Monitoring and reporting under the ICR are complete. USEPA has begun to release validated ICR data to stakeholders and to the public, including data for Cryptosporidium. Includes 19 references.
