Full Description
America's third largest brewer of beer, the Coors Brewing Company (Coors), is located in the semi-arid state of Colorado. Furthermore, the Golden, Colorado, brewing facility is the largest single brewery in the world and requries a significant amount of firm-yield water in order for operations to not be impaired. The most significant impact on supplying the brewery with water has been its location, the changes in water law over the last 125 years, and the aggressive competition and water use patterns within the state. This paper outlines how Coors has become creative and diligent in its pursuit to maintain a sustainable water supply, and how this creativity will hopefully protect the daily operations and anticipated growth of the Company. Details of both the natural and legal environments in which Coors operates are given to illustrate why Coors places an emphasis on maintaining water resources. Product Details
