Full Description
The 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) amendments significantly expanded the responsibilities of the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) to ensure safe drinking water in the United States. The amendments nearly doubled the text of the SDWA, created several new programs, and imposed a multitude of deadlines on the USEPA, and other federal and state agencies.
