Full Description
This paper presents several recommendations for the design and construction of flat bottomed reservoirs and standpipes for service in the seismically active western United States. Several components comprise the successful completion of a foundation upgrade installation on an existing ground level water storage tank. The author covers numerous examples to ensure the success of such projects. Elements such as unbuildable design, condition of existing tank bottom steel plate, tank elevation measurements, and installation of the proper anchorage systems are covered. The author concludes with a section on spoil disposal and installation of overflow piping. Product Details
