Full Description

This standard presents guidelines for establishing minmum requirements to ensure proper application and performance of a field-applied fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) coating system to the external surfaces of pipe at girth weld joints. Also covers methods for qualifying and controlling the quality of FBE, guidelines for its proper application, and inspection and repair techniques to ensure its long-term performance. This standard is maintained by Task Group (TG) 249.
