Benefits of dedicated outdoor air systems (DOAS) technology in an urban environment are explored. The systems solve the size, energy, and performance problems of using only traditional HVAC equipment to meet outdoor air requirements, says the author. And, they optimize ventilation, dehumidification, and zoning to improve occupant comfort with a low energy impact.
