Full Description

AS 1418.6-2004 (R2018) specifies requirements, additional to those in AS-1418.1, for guided storing and retrieving machine and universal stacker crane types, and for appliances intended to carry out similar functions and the interface between the elements of the total system. Application, materials, design, structure, clearances and tolerances, ancillary equipment, cabins, platforms and ladders, mechanisms, stability, controls, inspection and testing, maintenance and marking are covered. Appendices provide guidance on assessing mechanism, classification, tolerances, storing and retrieving machine and system layouts, assessment of appliance performance, test certificates, and maintenance procedures.
